Event Recap

On April 27, 2023 - Oceanside SAFE Coalition had the absolute pleasure of hosting Officer Jermaine Galloway (aka “The Tall Cop) for an unbelievably eye opening presentation on todays ever evolving drug culture, and new trends that communities absolutely need to be aware of. Our audience was blown away learning about substances that are easily obtainable over the counter, via the internet, in local vape shops and even gas stations. They were also educated on how to identify popular concealment methods - among so many other fascinating topics. Officer Galloway empowered parents and community members to continually educate themselves with what is available to todays youth, and to advocate for environmental strategies to limit access - with the biggest takeaway of this presentation being “You Can’t Stop What You Don’t Know”. We are so grateful to Officer Galloway for taking the time to bring this education to the Oceanside community! What an informative and important night for all in attendance. Check out this amazing article in the Oceanside Herald regarding the event!
