The Makeshift Movement presents a Community Art Project
Join Us! Work with Artists to Create a Special Mosaic Mural That Will Hang Proudly in the Oceanside Library
Save the Date! Saturday, December 2nd 10AM - 3PM Oceanside Library
A community that creates art together can create change together. Join The Makeshift Movement, Oceanside S.A.F.E. Coalition, and the Oceanside Library in creating a specially-designed mural for our town. By working together on a permanent art installation, we continue to help break the stigma around mental illness and substance abuse.
Family fun! All ages encouraged to attend—no experience necessary. You can pop-in / pop-out at any time. Additional activities will be featured, mental health and substance abuse resources will be provided, and food will be served throughout the day.

An event our community will not soon forget. What an incredible opportunity for Oceanside residents to come together and create art in commemoration of the lives we have lost due to substance abuse and suicide. Thank you to the Oceanside Library (NY) for holding a special ceremony to unveil the community mural “All Together Now”; and a huge thank you again to the 500 members of the community who came out to support this project!
