Overdose Awareness Day 2026

A tremendous heartfelt thank you from the bottom of our hearts to the Oceanside Library. As storm clouds rolled in at the umpteenth hour, they jumped into action to ensure that we had a safe place to host this event. We owe every success of the evening to them and their generosity!

There are truly no words to describe how meaningful it is to see our community come together to honor and remember the lives we have lost to overdose.

Family and friends who gathered to share their stories of unimaginable heartbreak became a powerful reminder of the importance of connection, compassion, education, awareness, and prevention. While we can never take away the pain of losing someone we love, we can choose to carry their memories forward by turning grief into action and loss into purpose

To all our surviving family members and friends of the departed; The Oceanside community is forever in awe of your courage, vulnerability and strength. We stand with you, always.

Every life matters, every story matters, and every opportunity to educate and prevent another loss matters.
